Effective April 13, 2010 The FDIC issued an interim rule to amend the Transaction Account Guarantee (TAG) component of the Temporary Liquidity Guarantee Program (TLGP) extending the deadline of the TAG program until December 31, 2010. Financial institutions offering noninterest-bearing transaction accounts are required to post a prominent notice in the lobbies of their main office and branches regarding this extension.
